A heart for justice is at the core of The Table. And for us it starts with the basic belief that everyone deserves to eat, and everyone deserves to eat well.
At The Table, we believe in caring for our neighbors. At our food pantry, this means offering good quality food, including fresh produce and lots of healthy options. Not only is the food healthy and fresh, most of it is locally sourced as our team gleans local produce from the Columbia Heights Farmers Market in the warmer months.
The Table operates a pantry in Columbia Heights out of St. Stephens and the Incarnation (1st & 3rd Saturday) and we help support a pantry on H Street run by Douglas Memorial UMC. To serve at our pantry in Columbia Heights contact Alyssa Currier.
In the Spring of 2017 we began a partnership with Loaves and Fishes in northwest DC that allows us to sponsor and operate one soup kitchen a month out of their facility. We serve a healthy meal to 100+ neighbors on the second Saturday of every month and anytime there is a fifth Saturday in the month. We invite you to join us! Contact Lexi Mairone to serve.
