LM: February 2019

Hey Leaders,

I hope you all are enjoying the snippets of Spring we've been having! Welcome to the February edition of The Table Leadership Monthly. If you're new, welcome! This is a monthly newsletter that alerts leadership to everything going on at the church. Older editions are stored here

CoHi Parish - WE'RE MOVING!

GALA: God made a way! This Sunday will be our first Sunday at the GALA Theater located at 3333 14th St NW. We are excited about this opportunity and can't wait to get settled into our new space. Service will be at 10:15a. Please spread the word to your friends, dinner parties, and teams that you lead! We're putting the announcement everywhere and sending out email reminders but word of mouth is always best.

PRAYER: Please be praying for Kevin and I this week (Thursday and Friday) as we move things. Also be holding our CoHi team and directors in prayer as they tackle this new space and we learn out way around! Pray for this area of the neighborhood we are in, that God would use us to serve the community of Columbia Heights and we would welcome people in to our family with open arms!

Our prayer team has been incredible supporting leadership in this transition and covering the pastors and trustees in prayer as we move forward. Praise God for them! But also if you're interested in joining them this Sunday morning as they pray over the new space, you can reach out to molly@thetabledc.org for more info.

FOOD PANTRY: Alyssa Currier is currently working with St Stephens church to relocate our food pantry from its current building since Inspire DC will soon be closing up the building for good. Thanks Alyssa! We'll share more info with you once everything is confirmed.

Journey with Jesus: Pastor Kevin began a new sermon series this past Sunday call Journey with Jesus. It will lead us all the way to Easter!

ALL-IN Team Night: Our first ALL-IN Team Night of the year will be on Wednesday, February 13. Everyone from the church is invited. It'll be a fun time and an awesome way to make connections with newcomers and invite them to shadow on your team or join your dinner party. Please plan on attending and RSVP! Please also encourage everyone on your team to attend. If you are a coach or director and can not attend, let me know and also nominate an up and coming leader to take your place in repping your team! RSVP here.

Spring Dinner Parties: Dinner Parties launched this week! Big thanks to Joshua McComas for making this happen and to all the Dinner Party leaders and hosts who are intentionally creating spaces for people to grow in their faith within community. We're so grateful for you! Please check in with people on your teams and make sure they are in a dinner party! All dinner parties are listed here.

Next Steps Track: We'd like to expand our team of Next Steps teachers! If you're interested in teaching Making The Table Home, Discover Your Purpose, or Leading at The Table, email me and I'll share more information.
